Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights. (source)

After finishing ACOTAR I wasn’t left wit with a big need for the next one, beacuse it wrapped up rather nicely. That changed completely when I started reading the sequel… ACOMAF was on a whole other level, and I loved it so much – if you enjoyed ACOTAR you vil love ACOMAF, and if you hated ACOTAR, well, you will still love ACOMAF.

This book was a lot more character focused than the first one. ACOTAR had a dragging start and then a ton of shit that went down in the second half. This was a lot more spread out. A lot of crazy stuff happened plot wise, but the book was always focused on the characters, and I really loved that about it. It made me very, very attached to the characters, and I am so scared for what is going to happen to them in the next book.

“I was not a pet, not a doll, not an animal.

I was a survivor, and I was strong.”

Feyre goes through such a big character development in this book. She is not the same little girl, she was in the beginning of ACOTAR, she was a lot stronger and more independent. I liked her in the first book but I loved her in this one.

Feyre’s love interest in this book was so perfect, he is my new fictional boyfriend.<3 I love how slow burning the romance was, and when shit finally happened, I was just sitting there like: YES YES YES.

This book also explores a lot more of the faboulus world that Maas has created.  We learn a lot more about the Night Court as well as some of the other courts and I really liked that.

This book was all in all fantastic. Some great new characters were introduced and if you didn’t like ACOTAR or have been in doubt whether to start this series you need to read it. This isnt just another fantasy series, it is awesome and you all have to read it! A big 5 star read from me.

Before starting this book you should, hovewer, be aware of the fact that this is a new adult book, meaning that there are some very detailed sex scenes in this book. If you are young or don't enjoy that in a book, you can choose to skip those parts or leave this book be.

I hope you enjoyed this fangirly review, I have been thinking about doing a whole spoilery discussion for this book, would anyone be interest in that?
